FAQ

Frequently asked Questions (FAQ) regarding tree stump removal.

How is the stump removed?

We use a remote-controlled grinder to literally grind away the main stump section and any obvious roots within the area.  We'll work with you to make sure we're meeting the needs for what you have planned post-removal. See the short video above.

Will the tree or shrub regrow?

It's highly unlikely for any tree or shrub to survive the grinding process however, there are a few varieties which can be more hardy than others where chemical treatment of shoots may be required.

What should I expect on the day?

We'll arrive on time ready to start work as agreed, you do not need to be at home as we work completely independently.

The process can be noisy and generates dust and mess during the process; the time it takes will vary depending on terrain and size/number of stumps planned for grinding and we'll advise during the quotation process.

The site is left need and tidy, as level as possible.

Pets should be kept indoors.

What's left following the grinding process?

The grinding process will turn the stump into chippings which will get mixed up with soil from the site area.  We'll tidy the area and any resulting mounds should be left to settle.   Any resulting mulch can be left in place or used around the rest of the location.

Which areas do we cover?

Anywhere within Gloucestershire, The Cotswolds and surrounding counties.  Specifically but not limited to:

Stroud, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Cirencester, Nailsworth, Tetbury, Malmesbury, Swindon, Bristol, Wotton-Under-Edge and beyond!
